Priest of the Diocese of Hallam, Chaplain at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, He is a Designated Safeguarding Lead

Andrew is a Former Chaplain at Rampton High Security Psychiatric  Hospital and was a member of: the National Catholic Safeguarding Commission (NCSC) Survivor Advisory Panel and OLMC (Our lady of Mercy Safeguarding Commission) Safeguarding Commission until their cessation in 2020. He was a Books Beyond Words Mentor and a Well-being Support Volunteer in a primary school.

A Parish Safeguarding Representative and Childcare practitioner with twenty years’ experience in supporting and helping children of all ages and backgrounds, as well as their parents, supporting them to give young children get the best possible start in life.

Marie Grant

Vice Chair

Mental Health and Bereavement Support Worker and Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Former member of the NCSC Survivor Advisory Panel and OLMC Safeguarding Commission until 2020. Taught in Primary Education for 33 years. She was a Deputy Headteacher. She is a Designated Safeguarding Lead. She retired from teaching but continues to work in primary schools facilitating ‘Feelings Groups’ which she founded. These groups provide a safe setting, allowing children to talk bout how they feel about what is happening in their lives.

Katrina Ennis

A Safeguarding Lead at a primary and secondary SEND school, along with a resource centre.  Her career and studies have always involved Early Years and school age children.

Frances Healy

Director

A retired teacher. Career spanned both the primary and secondary sectors of education: main area of responsibility – Head of Religious Studies. After taking early retirement, trained as a psychotherapist and worked in this capacity for a number of years. Was a member of the NCSC Survivors Advisory Panel was on the Steering Committee of Safe Spaces.

Dominic Allain

Priest of the Archdiocese of Southwark

Dominic has been variously a parish priest, a school and hospital chaplain.  Since 2012 he has worked with abuse survivors, particularly those harmed within Church settings.  He is the UK founder and Pastoral Director of Grief to Grace, a charity which offers a programme of integrated spiritual and psychological support and healing for abuse survivors.

A retired solicitor and qualified adult trainer, founder of a social enterprise providing training in involving health service users in service development, and former lay member of the National Catholic Safeguarding Commission until its replacement in 2021.

Sheila Baroness Hollins

A retired Consultant psychiatrist and Professor of Psychiatry of Disability at St George’s, University of London. Founder and chair of the visual literacy charity, Books Beyond Words. Former member of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors from 2014 to 2018. Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Centre for Child Protection in Rome until 2021. Crossbench life peer in the House of Lords.
